Mckinley Majesty – Denali – Print
The snow covered peak of Denali (Mt McKinley) looms majestically in the distance as a cold, clear Alaskan stream rounds a bend in the foreground.
At an elevation of 20,320 ft. Mt. McKinley towers above the Alaskan landscape. It's majestic peak has served as inspiration for adventurers, artists and writers for many, many years. Also known as 'Denali', meaning 'The Great One', this mountain is the highest in North America and has a greater bulk rise than even Mount Everest.

Though he seems so little and insignificant upon first glance, each little bird has his own personality and quirks. Brown on the Little Su – Print
About 15 miles North of Wasilla is one of my favorite places. Here the Little Su River serves as a gateway to Hatcher Pass and the
surrounding areas. The beauty from there on is unmatched and so diverse. Often my husband and I have stopped here for photos. Each time I am in awe. This area seems so raw and untamed.
Look closely and you can see salmon rest in the calm waters amongst the rocks as the brown bear waits patiently for one to wander into range.

A couple hours north of my home town of Wasilla you will find a real gem of a place called Talkeetna. A great Alaskan town. Nestled on the banks of the mighty Susitna River, this place serves as supply source and airport to the brave climbers who dare to summit Denali, North America's tallest mountain.
One September afternoon my family and I visited Talkeetna. The first frost of the season had left a colorful carpet of freshly fallen leaves on the riverside pathway. As the sun slowly fell it cast a warm glow on these beautiful leaves, a scene we wanted to capture forever.

Matanuska Glacier Cloudbreak Print – Service Dog Fundraiser
When one hurts, we all hurt.
Join me in standing with this family. They have been blessed with a fantastic service dog from Genesis Service Dogs to assist their family in healing from a traumatic event. Along with this blessing comes expenses associated with this new member of the family. Specialized training requires frequent travel and other expenses. I am donating 100% of the print sales of this image of "Matanuska Glacier Cloud Break" to these expenses. Let's show them that they are loved. :)
This painting was created en Plein Air or 'on location', at the Matanuska Glacier in Southcentral Alaska. During the first ever Great Alaskan Plein Air Retreat myself and a couple dozen artists traveled to this scenic vista where we painted and enjoyed each others company and the best homemade chili you have ever had! :) Each Print is hand signed and measures 4"x8".
This painting was a joy to paint, and it joys me to know that prints of it will help bring joy and peace to a family in need.

Karen Whitworth has used her passionate interpretation of light to depict this enchanting scene. Sunlight pierces through the clouds brilliantly illuminating an icy Alaskan seascape. By any other method this scene would leave the viewer feeling cold, but through her use of intense and warm colors Karen has welcomed the viewer into the warm embrace of an Alaskan sunrise. Under the icy ocean surface light dances through the depths and on the slick skin of two Orcas. The whales weave through the shafts of radiant light and around frozen bergs as they go about their day; as if this grand and brilliant sight is a daily occurrence... In Alaska, it is.
